A Yantra is a mystical diagram, typically engraved on metal plates, that serves as a visual tool for meditation and worship. Derived from the Sanskrit root "yam" (to control), Yantras are designed to harness cosmic energies and direct them for specific purposes.
Each Yantra consists of geometric patterns ??? triangles, circles, lotus petals, and squares ??? arranged in precise mathematical proportions. These patterns are believed to be the visual equivalent of mantras, representing the energy signature of specific deities or cosmic forces.
Shree Yantra: The most revered of all Yantras, representing Goddess Lakshmi. It consists of nine interlocking triangles forming 43 smaller triangles. Known for attracting wealth, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
Kuber Yantra: Dedicated to Lord Kuber, the god of wealth. Placed in cash boxes, lockers, or north-facing walls to attract financial abundance.
Mahamrityunjaya Yantra: A powerful protective Yantra associated with Lord Shiva. Used for health, longevity, and overcoming fear of death.
Yantras should be placed on a clean, sacred surface facing the appropriate direction. They must be energized (Pran Pratishtha) with proper mantras and rituals by a qualified priest for maximum effectiveness. Regular worship with flowers, incense, and mantras keeps the Yantra active.
